Submission (#264) Approved

Leona felt himself recoil at being addressed so suddenly. He could feel the fur on his tail begin to ruffle as he searched for something to say, though the longer he just stood there staring made things more awkward and difficult. He found himself wanting to turn and just walk away leaving the whole situation behind, but it was rude to not give an answer wasn't it? Sure the event sounded fun, but he was never really one to enjoy being amongst crowds. Even at the concert months ago he resigned himself to watching from a distance...
"Sorry I don't think-"
Before Leona could even get a full sentence out he felt the flier leave his hands. He panicked for a moment thinking the breeze had ripped it from his loose grip, only to find it safely in the hands of a familiar face. Ah, that's right, he'd forgotten it in the heat of the moment but he was in the middle of walking Lumiere back home. His eyes scanned the flier quickly as his tails swayed on the ground stirring up the colorful leaves that lied there. He pondered for a moment before walking over to the sign post the flier had supposedly flown free from placing it back where it belonged, and hopefully much more securely this time.
"I think we should go!" Lumiere stated turning quickly on his heels as he was so wont to do. "There's no harm in giving it a try, right? And you're always going on about feeling so left out of such things."
Leona folded his arms and turned his eyes to the ground. Arguably there wasn't any harm in it he supposed, and if Lumiere seemed so intent on going at least having someone familiar there might take the edge off being surrounded by strangers in a crowd. He looked back up to give a response, but Lumiere was already at the table signing up apparently taking his contemplation as a yes. Leona gave an exasperated sigh joining him at the table.
"I think you just want to show off in a costume of some kind, but it's not like either of us are doing anything that day."
"Now whatever makes you say such a thing?" Lumiere asked feigning a pouting look. "As a photographer shouldn't you be eager to go? There's a lot of photo opportunities, and I bet you'd be highly sought after."
Leona wasn't so sure about that, but if Lumiere was saying so it might prudent to bring some equipment with him. Though now that he thought about it Lumiere probably just wanted to take pictures together.
"Fine, fine. Where am I signing?"
